Giti Celebrates 2018 Anniversary Day as Part of ‘More sMiles with Giti’ Initiative



Giti Tire is celebrating its anniversary this October 25, including activities and promotions both internally and through partners around the world. The activity is part of the ‘More sMiles with Giti’ campaign which began in May of the year, and has also included special programs throughout the month of October.

As part of the 2018 festivities, Giti offices and partners in various markets have been decorating and will have special activities to celebrate the day, including cake-cuttings, prizes, and more. In individual markets, there will be special offers and giveaways to consumers during the day, which promote Giti’s tire quality and level of service. In addition, a photo submission contest open to dealers and end-users worldwide encourages to submission of people’s ‘Giti sMiles’ to win great prizes, and can be entered here through the end of the month.

The ‘More sMiles with Giti’ campaign as a whole encompasses a bigger message, including an emphasis on product and knowledge, motorsports, sharing of best practices, digital development, as well as new and innovative promotional items. It has also been used as a theme for regional events for dealers around the world, and has featured the opening of the new Giti Ambassador Program and well as new retail training programs for passenger car and truck and bus tires. Giti’s tire product offerings are known for durability and mileage, so the theme of the campaign emphases the longer tire life and savings from the company’s products. In addition, it ties in happy “smiling” imagery into the campaign to bring a positive feeling and excitement.

Finally, the anniversary is a perfect time to thank and recognize the partners, team-members, and drivers that make Giti Tire's journey possible.


The Giti Anniversary Story

A herd of elephants run by in excitement. Thump! Thump! Thump! All the animals in the jungle stop what they are doing and stand at attention. Suddenly, the lead elephant stretches out its long trunk and makes a loud trumpeting sound. Its finally October – Giti Tire’s anniversary!

Giti Tire’s roots go back more than 65 years to humble beginnings in Indonesia. But years later - during the month of October - the actual ‘Giti’ brand name was born and registered. Since then, the company has added on new R&D centers, manufacturing plants, motorsports wins, satisfied commercial fleets, and numerous memorable experiences among its team, partners, and fans. Now October each year is the perfect time for employees, dealers, competitive racers, and everyday drivers to gather together as one – to celebrate the passion, excitement, and feeling of the Giti brand.

The 2018 theme of ‘More sMiles with Giti’ demonstrates the happy feelings that getting a set of great new tires brings – the fresh smell, the clean tread, and the better driving experience that it brings. It also emphasizes the importance of getting better mileage, which ultimately also translates to providing a superior driving value. Nobody wants to have to worry about their tires failing them, and Giti always strives to bring the best and most efficient offerings to its drivers.

A fast convertible navigating the city streets. A family-sized SUV on a fun road trip. A rugged off-road ATV taking on new terrains.
